Delete your account

CITN Conference app — account and data deletion

From the app

  1. Open the CITN Conference app and sign in
  2. Go to the More tab
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm when asked

Deletion happens immediately and you are signed out. There is nothing to wait for and no request to approve.

By email

If you can’t sign in, email privacy@churchitnetwork.com from the address you registered with and we will delete the account for you, normally within a few business days.

What is deleted

  • Your name, email address, organization, and profile photo in the app
  • Your t-shirt size, dietary restrictions, and accessibility needs
  • Your saved sessions
  • Questions you asked in session Q&A, and your upvotes
  • The written comments in any session feedback you submitted
  • Your notification token, so the app can no longer send anything to your device

What is kept, and why

Deleting your account removes your name from these records rather than the records themselves. What remains is not linked to you and cannot be used to identify you.

  • Your conference registration. CITN keeps membership and registration records for the organization. That is separate from the app and is not affected by deleting your app account — contact us if you want those records changed.
  • Check-in, prize, and swag records. These are our account of what happened at the event and what was handed out. They are kept without your name, and keeping them is also what stops a deleted account being used to collect a second badge or claim the same prize twice.
  • Session ratings. The numeric scores stay in the totals for each session, with your written comments removed.

What deleting cannot undo

If you scanned a partner’s booth code during partner bingo, that partner already received your name, email address, and organization at the moment you scanned. Deleting your account removes our copy, but it cannot recall theirs. To have a partner delete your details, contact that partner directly.

If you come back

Signing in again with the same email gives you a working account again, and any check-in or prize history from the event still applies to you. Your saved sessions and questions are not restored — those are deleted for good.

See our privacy policy for what the app collects and who it is shared with.
